September Food Fight Benefits Local Communities

This September, ADS took part in its first companywide “Food Fight”, a canned food drive to benefit local communities it serves throughout the southeast. Each branch selected a local food bank to receive their collected non-perishable food items. The branch that brought in the the largest average amount of food items per employee from September 8 - 30 would be declared the winner of the ADS Food Fight.

After a rousing battle, ADS collected a total of 2,729 items to donate to food banks in its local communitiesThe ADS Augusta branch was declared the winner of the Food Fight by collecting 488 items between 13 people, which is an average donation of over 37 items per employee. The food items collected by the Augusta branch will be donated to the Christ Church Food Pantry in Beech Island, SC. The other local food banks benefiting from the ADS Food Fight are: Paducah Cooperative Ministry Food Bank in Paducah, KY; The Children's Hunger Project in Melbourne, FL; Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in Nashville, TN; Way of the Cross Ministries in Gadsden, AL; and the Crisis Center in Huntsville, AL.

ADS would like to thank you to all the generous ADS employees who participated in this great event.
