Employees at the ADS Security Corporate headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee spent the month of October collecting books and school supplies for a local underfunded charter school, Boys Preparatory Academy, as part of their Annual Chili Cook-Off event.

Last Friday, ADS held its 9th Annual ADS Chili Cook-Off with 18 delicious pots of chili to judge. Members of the Metro Nashville Police Department South Precinct and a representative from American Paper and Twine Co. served as our local, unbiased panel of judges. Every year, the Chili Cook-Off benefits a local organization, and this year ADS employees took things one step further. When finding out about the needs of Boys Preparatory Academy the ADS staff was encouraged to donate general school supplies and also participate in a book drive competition that would provide class sets of books to the school’s English teacher.

At the close of the Chili Cook-Off, ADS employees  had raised $435 dollars to purchase books, 61 books, 19 binders, 18 notebooks, 13 calculators, and enough pocket folders, pencils and paper to last Boys Preparatory   a long time. American Paper & Twine Co. was kind enough to donate pencils to Boys Preparatory.

ADS congratulates the 2013 Chili Cook-Off winners!
